Gitanushilanam turns Bhagavad Gita learning into an engaging participant journey for every participants. The programme combines guided learning with competitive rounds, age-appropriate pathways and a grand closing celebration with quiz and recitation syllabus directly from Bhagavad Gita As it is.

The 2026 programme offers four ways to engage with the Bhagavad Gita: Quiz, Shloka Recitation, Gita Reel Making Challenge and Treasure Hunt. Each stream combines learning, creativity, participation and discovery.

Bhagavad Gita Quiz
Test your understanding of Bhagavad Gita As It Is, Chapters 1 and 2, through three individual rounds.
- 10-minute MCQ screening: 5–6 December
- Kahoot round: 12–13 December

02 · Recitation
Shloka Recitation
Two focused rounds that move from a submitted recitation to a live Zoom performance for selected candidates.

Gita Reel Making Challenge
Bring Krishna’s Virat Roopa to life in an original animated Reel, using any technology.

Dr. Laxmidhar Behera (Dr. Lila Purushottam Das)
Director, IIT Mandi · Director, Bhagavad Gita Pathshala
Dr. Laxmidhar Behera, also known as Dr. Lila Purushottam Das, previously served as a senior professor at IIT Kanpur and is a researcher in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. He has spent more than 25 years working in education and sharing Vedic and spiritual wisdom with audiences in India and abroad.
He holds a PhD from IIT Delhi and has published more than 120 research papers. Alongside his academic work, he has been deeply involved in initiatives that connect education, character development and the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.
